Carol Ann Valleau

Carol Ann (Brehony) Valleau, 78, of Reading, passed away in the Reading Hospital on Friday, January 9, 2015. Born in Pottsville on February 9, 1936, she was a daughter of the late John and Hilda Brehony.

Carol loved her family and enjoyed taking care of them. She was known to many as a caregiver. People could depend on her if they were in need.

Surviving is her son, Michael S. McCaulley and his companion, Susan M. Eggert of Reading; two step-sons, Brian and Craig Valleau; three step-daughters: Gail Bednarz, Cherie Burshem and Michele Kendall; two grandsons, Colin McCaulley and Jarred Kendall; six granddaughters: Kelli Ostrowski, Samantha McCaulley, Morgan Miller, Jennifer Shuma, Madyson Valleau and Colleen Valleau; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Carol's special friend and companion of many years, Arlan Dunkelberger of Wernersville. She is predeceased by a grandson, Zachary Kendall, a sister, Joan Stednitz, and a step-son, Jeff Valleau.

A gathering of family and friends will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Auman's Inc., Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at noon. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 498 E.
