

Born on March 7, 1936, in Pottstown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Cressman) Murray. In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. (Beiswenger) Murray, and his sisters, Bonnie and JoAnn.
Charlie is survived by his brothers, Kent and his wife, Valerie, and Mike; his nephew, Steven and his wife, Kate; his niece, Kimberly; and his grandnephew, Joe, and grandniece, Carla, all proudly carrying on the Murray family name.
Charlie proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 9 years, enlisting in 1955 and receiving an honorable discharge in 1964. He went on to dedicate 30 years of his career to Polymer Plastics, now Mitsubishi Chemical Group, until his well-deserved retirement.
Charlie was a familiar face at the former Effie’s Charcoal Chef and the Mt. Penn Family Restaurant. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles.
He will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew him.
