The Rev Dr Christopher Noel Hershman

The Rev. Dr. Christopher Noel Hershman 68, of Allentown, PA. passed away Monday January 29, 2024. He was born in Reading on December 26, 1955, a son of Gloria M. (Augustine) Beamesderfer and the late Raymond Hershman.

Christopher was the owner and operator of Covenant Counseling Services in Allentown, PA. He was a 1973 Wilson High School graduate, and a graduate of Kutztown University. Christopher was a graduate of Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. Christopher graduated from Eastern U with his doctorate in marriage and family therapy. He was a Pastor at St. John's in Fogelsville and at St. James Lutheran in Allentown. He would write a religious column for the Morning Call newspaper. Christopher served as an adjunct for Chestnut Hill College. Above all, he was a loving father, therapist and pastor.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his two children, Alexander D. Hershman and Nicole S. Hershman, sister, Kimberly J. Hershman and his former wife, Patricia J. Hershman.

Christopher was predeceased by his brother, Todd W. Beamesderfer and step-father Donald Beamesderfer.

He loved his 2 dogs more than life itself, unfortunately Schwartzerdt is no longer with us but his Tanuki is still here.

A viewing will be Saturday February 3, 2024 from 10-11am in Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 391 W Neversink Rd., in Reading with funeral services to begin at 11am in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
