Born and raised in Reading, Claudia was a woman with a heart of gold and a spirit full of warmth, humor, and generosity. She touched many lives through both her work and her friendships.
Claudia was a proud graduate of Reading High School and later the Reading Hospital School of Nursing, earning her nursing degree in 1986. She began her career as a manager at the beloved local restaurant, Seafood Shanty, where she brought joy and kindness to both customers and coworkers. But it was later in life that she discovered her true calling as a nurse. Claudia went on to serve as an Operating Room nurse at Reading Hospital for 20 years, where her calm presence, skill, and genuine care brought comfort to many.
Claudia found joy in life’s simple pleasures — a good meal at a nice restaurant, a game of bingo, a weekend camping trip. She was a social soul who loved connecting with others, and she built lasting friendships wherever she went. Her deep love for animals, especially her beloved dogs Frogan I and Frogan II, was a constant in her life.
Each December, Claudia would take a full week off to bake thousands of Christmas cookies, which she lovingly gave as gifts to friends, family, and neighbors — a tradition that brought joy to many and reflected her generous spirit.
Claudia will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the light she brought into the lives of those around her. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen, valued, and loved — and that legacy will live on in the many hearts she touched.
A private service will be held in loving memory of Claudia.
