Darlene Jane Tinari, 62, of Reading, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Daytona Beach Florida on July 7, 1961 a daughter of Clifford Newton and the late Jane (Schneiders) Newton.
She was employed by ADP as a corporate manager from 1980-2005 for 25 years and as a merchandising planner for Boscov's Department Store for 15 years from 2008-2023, retiring in April 2023. She was passionately known as "Mimi" by her 2 grandsons who were the love of her life. Darlene enjoyed going to all of their sporting events and enjoyed board games and playing cards. She relished time traveling with her children and exploring new experiences. Darlene appreciated spending time with her family, friends and co-workers.
Also surviving is her son, John M. Tinari, III and daughter Amanda J. Schaeffer (Matthew), sister, Denise LePera (Stephen) , nephew Steve (Colby), and nephew Danny (Ally), brother, John Newton (Sunshine), Baree (Dakota), niece A.J. (Leo), and niece Liberty, and 2 grandsons; Carter Schaeffer and Jaxon Schaeffer and many great nieces and nephews.
Darlene was also predeceased by her sister, Vanessa Newton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday August 17, 2023 at 10:30am in Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 391 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, with a gathering from 9:30-10:30 am in the funeral home.
