Brother Delroy "Junior" Anthony Boswell, 66, of Reading, formerly of Kingston, Jamaica, went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully in ManorCare West Reading on Thursday, February 7, 2019. He was the widower of the late Claudette M. (Hinds) Boswell.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica on December 27, 1952, Delroy was a son of the late Ephraim and Bernice (Daniels) Boswell. He was employed in carpentry while in Jamaica. After moving to Berks Co., he was employed with Bowman Hat Factory making hats for 2 years before he became a caregiver and nurse’s assistant at Country Meadows of Wyomissing.
Delroy loved to preach the gospel and touch people's lives. He was a faithful member of Rehoboth Seventh Day Adventist Church, Reading. He loved music and loved to sing. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, carpentry and praying.
Left behind to cherish his memory are two step daughters, Bobbette Stewart-Thomas and her husband, Everette of Reading and Antonnette (Preddie) Ferguson and her husband, Durant of Reading; a step granddaughter, Nina Thomas of Reading; three brothers, Leon Ramsay and his wife, Elsie of Jamaica, Dudley Graham of Jamaica and Dwight Dixon of New York; five sisters, Gloria (Boswell) Pratt of Jamaica, Ethel (Boswell) McClean and her husband, Richard of Canada, Dolly Boswell of Jamaica, Eda Ramsay of Jamaica and Angela (Boswell) Lawson-Marston and her husband, Darrington of Reading; a brother-in-law, Dudley Graham of Reading, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family here in Reading and in Jamaica.
Delroy is predeceased by a brother, Wesley Boswell and a sister, Islyn (Oakley) Graham.
Services will be on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11am in Rehoboth Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1502 Snyder St., Reading, PA 19601 with Rev. Paul M. Turner, Jr. officiating. A viewing will be in the church on Friday from 9am to 11am. Delroy will be laid to rest in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
