Dennis W. Zambito, 80, of Robesonia, entered eternal rest on November 24, 2025, at Reading Hospital. Born Reading, PA on February 4, 1945, he was a son to the late James Zambito and Elizabeth (Kofroth) Zambito. In addition to his parents, he was greeted in heaven by his 5 brothers: James, Joseph, Elroy, Richard, and Ronald Zambito.
Dennis proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in September 1964 and served with honor until his discharge in August 1968, finishing his service as a sergeant.
After returning home, Dennis traded military service for civilian life and found his place with Pepsi Cola. With the same determination he showed in uniform, he climbed through the ranks and dedicated more than 30 years to the company, ultimately retiring as a District Manager. He worked hard, led by example, and earned the respect of everyone around him.
During those same years, he also found camaraderie as a member of Masonic Lodge No. 549 and the Rajah Temple, where he formed many friendships throughout the years.
Outside of work, Dennis enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, and teaching his granddaughters the “advanced tactics” of food hiding so a slushy run was always in their favor. His humor, lovable mischief, and big heart were trademarks of the man he was.
Above all, Dennis was a family man. Hardworking yet always present, genuine, and loyal in every sense of the word. He lived with integrity and loved without hesitation. Strength and honesty shaped his life, and those same traits live on in the people who loved him most.
Dennis's spirit will be carried on by his beloved wife of 56 years, Wendy L. (Reber) Zambito, and his daughters, Angela Zambito and Andrea DeRoche (Robert). He is also survived by his granddaughters, Erin Yu (Daniel) and Madelyn DeRoche.
A viewing will be held on November 29, 2025, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Auman's Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. The funeral service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 11:00 am, with Pastor Karey Schaffer officiating. Graveside committal with full military honors will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
