

He was born in Reading on May 1, 1982 a son of Marcellus Hammond and Sheri L (Kauffman) Clark and stepson of Daniel Clark.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Dayana Hammond, his son, Donovan Hammond and Desmond's better half, Alisha Lefever; God-son, Jason C. Smith, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Maxine Louise Smith and William Sheldon Smith; paternal great grandmother, Harriet Smith; two sisters, Lynchel Cooper and Raven Hammond; brother, Steven Brandon and stepbrother, Dayvon Clark.
Also surviving are a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and tons of people he called brothers and sisters.
Desi was a Reading High School graduate, Class of 1999, received a certification in computers at Thompson Institute and a managers licensing in Barbering. He was the director of King's Promotions before managing at Coachlite Tavern.
Desi had a kind heart and would do anything for anybody. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Irene M. Kauffman.
A Celebration of Life will be Monday November 20, 2017 at 11am in St John's Missionary Baptist Church, 436 S 7th St., Reading PA 19602. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be Monday 9-11am in church.
Services are entrusted to Theo C Auman Funeral Home, Reading.
