Diane Marie Solomon, a cherished resident of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 28th, 2026, at the age of 66. She was the deeply loved wife of Larry Solomon, with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with devotion, partnership, adventure, and countless cherished memories.
Diane was predeceased by her beloved parents, Ray W. and Flora May Kirkley (Epler). In addition to her husband, Larry, she is survived by her loving Daughters, Brandyn P. Barrowcliff (and her husband, Brian) and Katelyn H. Nester (and her wife Karli). Her cherished Grandchildren, Brody D. Barrowcliff, and Kai D. Nester, who brought her immense joy; her dear Sister Donna M. Ladd (and her husband Ron) and a large circle of extended family and close friends who will miss her dearly.
Diane was a member of Robeson Lutheran Church. She loved her family fiercely and cherished every single moment spent with them. "Selfless" is the perfect word to describe Diane; she possessed a remarkably kind, gentle soul and consistently put the needs of others before her own. She expressed this love through her passion for cooking, happily taking on the role of hosting every holiday, birthday, and family gathering to bring those she loved together. Her ultimate happy place was being at the beach. Those close to her knew that she could frequently be found enjoying life at the "Sand Bar." She jumped at every single opportunity she could get to spend time with her Grandson Kai. Diane also had a deeply warm spot in her heart for animals, and she was a faithful supporter of the Berks Animal Rescue League (Berks ARL).
Family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and celebrate Diane's beautiful life on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026. A public visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Auman's Inc., located at 391 West Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606; Service will immediately follow at the same location. Following the services, interment will take place across the street at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 West Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606, where Diane will be laid to her final resting place.
