Donna Louise (Remp) Hiester

Donna Louise (Remp) Hiester, 71, of Laureldale, PA entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. Born July 09, 1951, in Reading, PA she was a daughter to the late Arlene (Sonnen) Remp and Melvin Remp.

Donna was employed by Barco Industries, Inc. as a factory worker for 46 years, retiring in 2014.

Donna loved spending time with her family, crosswords, playing BINGO, going camping, hanging out by the pool and dancing with her grandkids. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cared for them each when they were young and was always willing to make them a warm bowl of her chicken pot pie. She was beyond dedicated in her role of wife and mother. As her family grew to include grandchildren and great grandchildren, she embraced the role of matriarch enthusiastically. Donna was deeply loved by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. A woman like her is never replaced but will always be remembered.

In addition to her parents, Donna was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband of 54 years, Raymond D. Hiester (who preceded her in death on February 24, 2021); her great granddaughter MiKayla and son-in-law Pat Dietrich.

Donna's spirit will be carried on by her 2 sons Ron Hiester and his wife April, of Fleetwood; Jim Hiester and his wife Thersea, of Schuylkill Haven; daughter April Dietrich, of Millmont; her brother Ricky Remp; 5 sisters Gloria Kroenig, Melba Delp, Shirley Lingeris, Marie Spencer and her husband Chris, and Dorothy Lukanitz and her companion Patricia Layton. Donna also leaves behind 10 grandchildren Trish and her husband Derrick, Ray, Brandon, Jimmy, Bridgette and her husband Freddie, Derrick, Blade and his wife Alexandra, William, Bradley, Elizabeth and her husband Cody; and 15 great grandchildren Cora, Angel, Melvin, Rhealyn, Damaris, Jay, Mojo, Zion, Exodius, Elliot, Vinny, Carmelo, Jewelie and Adrian to cherish her memory.

A viewing for Donna will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19601, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM, with Dr. Rev. Robert Aregood officiating.

Donna and her husband Raymond will be laid to rest on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 10:30 AM in Strausstown Cemetery, 6373 Old US 22, Bernville, PA 19506
