Dorothy Ann Damato

Born in Reading on February 10, 1950, a daughter of the late Nicholas A. and Mary C. (Barbato) Damato. She worked in the Recorder of Deeds department for the County of Berks for many years. Prior to that, she was a teller with M & T bank on Lancaster Ave. and worked in the Credit Bureau department with CNA downtown.

Dorothy was a great mother and best friend who adored her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She will be sadly missed.

Surviving are her three children, Dana Michael Damato and his wife, Rocio of Reading, Michelle Marie Jackson of Shillington and Jenna Carmela Jackson of Reading; five grandchildren, Tyrell Damato, Adrienne Damato, Michael Damato, Damonte Murray and Naszeir Holden; a sister, Catherine Pollock and her husband, Mel of Wyomissing and her best friend and soul, Mary.

A Celebration of Dorothy’s Life will be at 11:00am on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 1218 Luzerne St., Reading, PA 19601. Please, come and share memories with her family. Arrangements are entrusted with Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, Reading.
