He is survived by his wife, Mary C. (Miller) Bitting.
Earl was born in Reading on September 17, 1940, a son of the late Franklin E. and Elsie (Reppert) Bitting.
He was an Army veteran, serving stateside during the Vietnam Era, and was employed by Baldwin Brass Hardware as a machinist for 28 years, retiring in 2002.
In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by his two sons, Earl F. Jr. and his wife, Tami Bitting, of Spring Township, and Franklin E. and his wife, Cynthia Bitting, of Shillington; his two grandsons, Zachary and Stryder; and his niece, Marilyn Bitting.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Theo C. Auman Inc. Funeral Home, 247 Penn St, Reading. Burial to follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be Thursday 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home.
