Born in Reading on November 27, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Herbert T. Feeney and Cathryne S. (Yeager) Feeney. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was greeted in heaven by her husband, Donald E. Wagner; her son, Donald M. Wagner; her brothers, Kenny and T. Herbert Feeney; and her sisters, Helen Hornberger and Irene Feeney.
For more than six decades, Eleanor was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday school and helped with Camp Fire Girls, giving her time to the church and the surrounding community. At home, she tended to her flower and vegetable gardens, followed the Phillies, kept up with her favorite soap operas and watched the Game Show Network. She enjoyed family vacations to the shore and trips to The Dude Ranch with her friends, but some of her favorite outings involved a BINGO card, a scratch-off ticket or a slot machine.
Those who knew Eleanor will remember her laughter, her willingness to lend a hand and her ability to find happiness in the little things. She was content simply to be included, happiest when surrounded by family, and always there when she was needed most. Her warmth and steady presence made people feel cared for, often without her having to say a word. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Eleanor's spirit will be carried on by her daughter, Susan Thomas, and her husband, Edward; her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Wagner; her grandchildren, Michelle Cervola and her husband, Peter, Amy Kern and her husband, Joshua, and Patrick Wagner; and her great-grandchildren, Thomas, Mena and Emma Cervola.
