Emiliano Alvarez, 94, of Sinking Spring, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ciales, Puerto Rico on May 05, 1930, he was a son to the late Jose Alvarez and Francisca (Figueroa Negron) Alvarez. In addition to his parents, Emiliano was greeted in heaven by his daughter Herminia Alvarez; his son Emiliano Alvarez Jr.; his sister Ana Cirilo; and his 3 brothers Pablo Alvarez, Efrain Alvarez, Jose Luis Alvarez.
Throughout his life, Emiliano worked as both a welder and a mechanic, dedicating his skills to various companies in Puerto Rico and the United States. His passion for working on cars was well known, and his hands were rarely idle. More than just his mechanical expertise, Emiliano was a man of deep faith who made it a priority to read his Bible every morning, a practice that nourished his spirit and guided his daily life.
Emiliano’s wisdom, faith, and loving presence will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed enough to have known him. May he rest in eternal peace.
Emiliano's spirit will be carried on by his 6 children; Aida Kemmerer and her husband Bob, Betzaida Alvarez, Ana Maria Alvarez, Martiza Morales, Jazeel Alvarez, and Carlos Morales. Emiliano also leaves behind his sister Beina Andino, 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
A viewing for Emiliano will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Prayer services will promptly commence in the funeral home at 1:30 PM, with Pastora Yolanda Cirilo officiating. Graveside committal will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
