Emily Iris Agosto, 40, of Sinking Spring, passed away on December 31, 2025, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Reading, PA, on August 16, 1985, she was the cherished daughter of Edwina Lorna Wright and Edwin Agosto.
Emily previously worked in medical billing and coding and took great pride in her accomplishments, graduating in the top ten percent of her class from the University of Phoenix.
Emily found happiness in both life’s simple pleasures and its little thrills. She loved playing BINGO, testing her luck at the casino, and digging her toes into the sand at the beach. Traveling was one of her greatest joys, and she was known for spontaneous getaways with her children. In many instances, her family learned where she was through social media, greeted by smiling selfies from an entirely different state. Emily proudly wore the crown of selfie queen.
Strong willed and outspoken, Emily had no filter and no hesitation in speaking her mind. She told it like it was, always honest and always with a pure heart. Beneath that bold exterior was a deeply caring woman who looked after everyone she loved, even scheduling doctor appointments for her brothers well into adulthood. Above all else, Emily’s heart belonged to her children. They were her entire world, her greatest purpose, and her proudest achievement.
Emily’s vibrant spirit lives on through her mother, Edwina Lorna Wright, and her father, Edwin Agosto and his wife, Erica Agosto. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Nathaniel H. Agosto, Layah M. Sigmund, and Caleb A. Sigmund. She is also survived by her brothers, Joseph L. Agosto and his wife, Kelli L. Agosto, and Eric B. Agosto and his girlfriend, Ashton C. Pachuilo; her nephews, Parker Agosto, Weston Agosto, and Ryan Heiser; and her niece, Alleigh Agosto. Emily also leaves behind an army of friends, far too many to list, who will forever carry her laughter, loyalty, and fierce love with them.
A visitation with memory sharing will be held at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Rd., Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
Emily lived loudly, loved fiercely, and showed up fully for the people who mattered most. Her light, her laughter, and her love will continue to shine through the lives she touched, especially through her children, who carry her spirit forward every day. Rest in eternal peace, dear Emily.
