

Born in Reading on September 11, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Raymond E. and Jennie B. (Klingaman) Dietrich.
Ethel was employed with Bachman Bakery and Reading Motor Inn. She was a crossing guard for the Reading Area School District and a foster granny.
She was a member of Westley Holiness Church in Reading. Religion was very important to her and she took pleasure in reading the Bible.
Ethel loved her dogs and looked forward to walking them. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always made people laugh.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Paul (Marsha R.) Yadlosky of West Lawn and Barbara A. Grimes and Vangie Sierra of Bernville; a daughter-in-law, Judy E. Conrad of Reading; four grandchildren; one stepgrandson; four great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Also surviving is Ethel's identical twin sister and best friend, Elsie Cafarelli.
Ethel was predeceased by five siblings and her son, Michael R. Conrad, who passed away in March 1982.
Funeral services for Ethel will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Rd., Fleetwood. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 to 11:00 a.m.
