

He is survived by his wife, Renee (Lockhart) Green.
He was born in Jersey City, NJ, on June 17, 1958, a son of James Sr. and Robertsena (Levine) Green of South Carolina.
Eugene attended Holy Trinity Church and was an Army veteran.
He will be remembered as a chef for House of Good Food for many years and also a mentor and chef to young boys and girls for the YES Program. Eugene was an employee of Andrews Transportation for many years.
Eugene's accomplishments and awards included: as a motivational Speaker he received The Commonwealth of PA Governors Award, and The Commonwealth of PA Certificate of Recognition presented by Senator Michael O'Pake. He also received The Dorothy Richardson Award for Neighborhood Reinvestment Corp.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is also survived by 3 daughters: Irene Cooper of Wernersville, and Natasha Green and Nyzeera Green, both of Georgia. There are 7 sisters, 13 brothers and 4 grandchildren.
Also, there are many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Eugene was predeceased by his 3 siblings.
Services will be Friday, September 7, 2012 at 3 p.m. in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading. A viewing will be Friday from 2-3 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at convenience of the family.
