Felicita Robles Bermudez, 63, of Reading, PA, affectionately known to everyone as Julie, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 3, 1962, in Cidra, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Bermudez and Joaquina (Robles) Bermudez.
In addition to her parents, Julie was reunited in heaven with her son, Benjamin Bermudez; her brothers, Jose Antonio and Virgilio Bermudez; and her sister, Mercedes De La Cruz.
A tireless caregiver and devoted LPN, Julie spent her career caring for others from 1995 until her retirement in 2009. She brought compassion and skill to every facility she worked at, including Reading Nursing Center, Topton Lutheran Home, Spruce Manor, Wyomissing Lodge, Kutztown Manor, and various ManorCare locations. Patients and colleagues felt her warmth and dedication every day.
Julie had a green thumb that could make any garden flourish, finding joy in nurturing every flower and plant she touched. She loved the beach, adored lighthouses, could lose herself in movies for hours on end, and was a master cook who fed everyone she could. Loyal to her friends, devoted to animals, and never shy about speaking her mind, Julie had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Julie was a survivor in every sense of the word. A powerhouse, she cared for everyone around her while never compromising who she was. Introverted but bubbly, outspoken but truthful, she had the rare ability to make you feel seen, heard, and loved all at once. She was a mother figure to many, guiding, nurturing, and adopting countless hearts as her own.
Julie’s life was one of love, laughter, and loyalty. She may be gone from this world, but her spirit, her wisdom, and her unforgettable personality will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Julie's spirit will live on through her son, Victor M. Ocasio; her brothers, Domingo Bermudez and Alejandro Bermudez (Veronica Almodovar); her sister, Luz Nilda Robles; her grandson, Anthony Cole Ocasio; her granddaughter, Vanessa Destiny Ocasio; her bonus children, Yaritza Bermudez, Alejandro Bermudez Jr., Mayra Rosario, and Heather Lutz; and her bonus granddaughter, Amber Lutz. She also leaves behind many people she nurtured and embraced as her own, along with a wide circle of family and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
A viewing for Julie will be held Friday, October 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601, followed by a prayer service promptly commencing at 7:00 PM.
