

Born in Detroit, MI on March 15, 1926, he was a son of the late Basil and Meropi (Kafoutis) Kratsas. George joined the U.S. Navy and served during WWII and survived through 9 invasions.
George and Patricia met and married on July 17, 1948 in Cleveland, OH. The couple was married 64 years when Patricia passed away. The couple enjoyed being owners and operators of area McDonalds.
George will best be remembered for his devoted care and attention to his wife during her extended period of illness.
Surviving George, Sr. is a son, George W. Kratsas, Jr. and his wife, Margaret of Exeter Twp; five grandchildren, Patti Shenk and her husband, Keith of Exeter Twp., Kristoffer Kratsas and his husband, Victor of Boston, MA, Zachary Kratsas and his wife, Sarah of Albany, NY, Lindsay Kratsas of Exeter Twp. and Jeremy Kratsas of Stony Creek; and two great grandchildren, Kayla and Ryan Shenk of Exeter Twp.
Also surviving are two brothers, Carl Kratsas and his wife, Clara of Jacksonville, FL and Jack Kratsas and his wife, Tilly of Absecon, NJ; a daughter-in-law, Josephine Bondonese of Exeter Twp. and many nieces and nephews.
George is predeceased by a son, William G. Kratsas and a brother, Constantine “Gus” Kratsas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at St. Catharine of Siena Chapel, 2427 Perkiomen Ave., Mt. Penn. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 6 to 8:00pm at Auman’s Inc., Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
