Harold Leroy Seltzer Sr., 94, of Leesport, PA passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Berks Heim Nursing Home. Born in Reading, PA on October 31, 1929, he was a son to the late George Seltzer and Cora Florence (Schock) Seltzer.
After proudly serving his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, he returned home to embark on a career at Hofmann Industries Inc., where he worked as a paint line worker until his well-deserved retirement.
In his younger years, he enjoyed playing both baseball and football. Even in his later years, he maintained a passion for both sports, particularly as a loyal fan of the San Francisco Giants. Whether playing on the field or cheering from the sidelines, Harold's love for the game was unwavering.
As we bid farewell to Mr. Seltzer, let us take comfort in knowing that his spirit will forever live on in those blessed enough to have known him.May he rest in eternal peace.
Harold's spirit will be carried on by his son Harold L. Seltzer Jr. and his 2 grandchildren Daniel D. Seltzer and Stephanie D. Larrick.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife Lillian (Loose) Seltzer; who passed away on December 20, 1995.
A graveside committal with military honors for Harold will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606.
