Harry J. Dawson, Jr., 82 of Reading, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2108 in Tower Health – Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Harry J. Dawson, Sr. and Violet May (Becker) Dawson.

He was employed as a mechanic for many years with Bortz Chocolate until retiring.

He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his sons, Kenneth J. Dawson of Birdsboro, Gregory A. Dawson of Shillington, Alan J. Dawson of Reading and Jason E. Neidig of West Lawn. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael of Harrisburg and Gene of Wernersville. Also surviving are his sisters, Eleanor, Anne, Sandra and Edna all of Reading. He was predeceased by his son Harry J. Dawson, III in 2014 and also by his brothers, Frank, Paul and George.

Services and burial will be private at the family’s convenience.
