Her husband, Lawrence E. Boyer, passed away January 2, 2006. Irene was born in Reading on August 16, 1925, a daughter of the late Walter L. and Sarah A. (Addis) Ermold.
She was a 1944 Reading High School graduate. Irene was a seamstress who worked out of her own home.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Boyer of Reading; daughter, Debbie M., widow of Edward Hain of Reading; son Kirk L., and his wife Diane Boyer of Reading; and daughter, Joy D. and her husband Michael Zuritis of New York, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, December 6, 2013 at 12 noon in Auman's Inc Funeral Home 390 W Neversink Rd, Reiffton. Interment to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be Friday, 11-12 p.m. in the funeral home. www.aumansinc.com.
