Born in Reading, PA, on April 18, 1940, Jack was the son of the late Dewitt Harrell Sr. and Minnie (White) Harrell.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara (Fausnaught) Harrell; his son, Kirk Harrell; and his siblings, Ray Harrell, Hansel Harrell, Retha Heffner, and Selma Knarr.
Jack spent much of his career as a mechanic, working for several local dealerships. He later retired from Exeter Township, where he worked in the Road Maintenance Department.
Jack loved hiking and taking long walks, caring for his vegetable garden, and, above all, spending time with his family. He was a quiet man who preferred a small circle of friends, kept to himself, and never judged anyone. His kind and accepting nature will be remembered by those who knew him.
Jack's spirit will be carried on by his sons, Mark Harrell and Jack Harrell Jr.; his daughter, René Houck; his brother, Dewitt Harrell; his grandchildren, Mark Harrell, Keith Harrell, Mike Harrell, and David Harrell; and his great-grandchildren, Joey Richard Harrell and Kensley Harrell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Service details will be posted on the funeral home's website once they have been finalized.
