James E Mahoney commonly known as (Jimboy) passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at his home. Born in Banjul The Gambia to the late Dr. James E Mahoney and Lulu (Davis) Mahoney.

He was a 1991 graduate of St Augustine High School and attended Spring Valley Church of God. James was last employed by Alcon, and The Berks County Intermediate Unit as a Driver. James loved his students and treasured his time with them.

James truly lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as spending time at home with his wife and children, chatting with his friends and family. James had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.

James is survived by his wife Latissa (Donaldson) Mahoney, children James Mahoney Jr, Davis Mahoney, Jordan Horn, Jaylin and Kayla Mahoney, his mother Lulu Mahoney, brothers, Moses, Waka, sisters Antou, Laura, Pam and Fanny. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, family and friends who lives he has touched.

A viewing for James will be held Friday, March 13, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn Street, Reading. Another viewing will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Spring Valley Church of God, 2727 Old Pricetown Rd. Funeral service will commence at 10:00 AM at the church. A graveside committal will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Rd, Fleetwood, Pennsylvania 19522.

I worked with James at BCIU. While I'm sorry to say we really never talked, there was never a day that went by that I did not see James and we would smile and wave to each other. I will miss his smiling face. My condolences to James' family. May he rest in peace and may his family find strength.
