He was born in Philadelphia Jan. 28, 1944, a son of Lena (Brown) Holmes Still of Reading and the late James Wendel David Still.
Also surviving are a daughter, Chrystal Christopher of Landover, MD; three brothers: Rev. Willis Brown and David M. Still, both of Philadelphia, and Howard Holmes of Reading; and one sister, Bernice Hopkins of Reading.
There are six grandchildren: twins, Ashley Jackson and Breiana Jackson, twins, Mia Dunbar and Amaya Dunbar, Alexis Dunbar and Christian Dunbar; and one great-granddaughter, Trin-ity Mease.
James was predeceased by two brothers, Albert Holmes Still and Leonard Holmes.
