

Javier Silva, 41, of Reading, passed away after a battle with cancer on Thursday, July 9, 2015 in the Reading Hospital with his family surrounding him. He was the devoted husband of Jennifer M. (Horn) Silva.
Born in Reading on August 11, 1973, he was a son of Jesus Silva and Haydee Rodriguez, both of Reading. He was a 1991 graduate of Reading High School where in his Senior year, he was the Student Body Vice President.
Javier was employed with Dana Corp. as a machinist and worked over 15 years.
He was known as a loyal friend and would do anything he could to help out anyone. He had a big heart and he cherished his family. Javier was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was the center of attention and he loved to laugh and joke. Looking good and matching head to toe was important to him.
In addition to his parents and loving wife, Jennifer; he is survived by two sons, Jayden and Javion Silva at home; three sisters, Yolanda Silva, Mayra Torres and Johanna Veal; brother, Miguel Torres; mother in law, Marie Horn and sister in law, Justene Howarth.
Also surviving are five nephews, Robert Torres, Jr., Jayson Howarth, Connor Robey, Nathan Robey and Maziah Veal; three nieces, Leana Wilson, Cassandra Torres and Skye Rodriguez.
He is predeceased by a brother, Nelson Rodriguez and father in law, Thomas Howarth.
Services for Javier will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 8pm in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8pm.
