She was the wife of the late Frederick J. McCrudden. Born in Oak Park, IL, on July 12, 1917, she was a daughter of the late James T. and Agnes J. (Hicks) Nicol.
Jean was a graduate of Presbyterian Hospital in Newark, NJ where she became a Registered Nurse. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Reading.
Surviving are two children, Jeanne M. Sergi and her husband, Joseph of Pittsburgh and Robert T. McCrudden and his wife, Barbara of South Carolina. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Jean will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. Jean will be laid to rest next to Frederick in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
