Jeffrey H. Oulds (Chief), passed away Thursday April 19th 2018, at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center at the age of 64. He was born September 25th 1953, at the Reading Hospital in Pennsylvania, to Nancy (Heckman) & Howard Oulds.
He was a 1972 graduate from Governor Mifflin High School receiving his diploma there. He worked mainly as a steel worker for 33 years at Carpenter Technologies, earning himself the nickname of Chief with all his coworkers before he retired in the year 2011.
Jeffrey was a loving father and husband, and enjoyed many things such as race car driving. He held a passion for racing in all forms, including go-carts when he was younger and owning several of his own race cars later on. He enjoyed helping out while both his brother, son, and nephew raced cars as
well through the years. In his earlier years he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandparents, and would recite the stories of it all down to his children of their many adventures. He will be most remembered though by how much of a loving son, brother, husband, and father he was to his whole family.
Jeffrey had been previously widowed by his wife, Jane L. Oulds whom passed away in March of 2010. He is survived by both his parents, Nancy (Heckman) Oulds, and Howard Oulds, his brother Mark Oulds; and also his two children Victoria (Oulds) Lyons, and Phillip Oulds.
Family and Friends whom would like to say their goodbyes can come to his funeral ceremony, which will
by Saturday April 28th. It will be held at the Auman Funeral Home, located at 247 Penn Street Reading PA 19601, from 9:30am to 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make donations to the St. Judes Children's Cancer Research Center, in memory of the battle Jeffrey Oulds fought; and also according to his wishes as well.
