John J. George

Born in Reading on April 12, 1949, John was a son of the late John J. Sr. and Bernice (Fitz) George.

John liked to travel and often talked about the Dude Ranch that he visited. He was friendly to everyone he met and looked forward to spending time with his friends and the staff in the day program at Prospectus Berco.

He enjoyed shopping, music, mashed potatoes, chicken and sweets (especially M&Ms). He truly loved the staff at Prospectus Berco as much as he loved his own sisters. He will be missed by many.

Surviving John are his two loving sisters, Patricia B. George of Reading, and Sandra L. George of Sinking Spring. In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by an infant brother, Freddie J. George.

A funeral service will be in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, on Monday, March 25, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Reading. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
