He is survived by his wife, Kathleen B (Bailey) Hengen.
He was born in Norristown on September 28, 1940, a son of the late Rev. Walter Scott and Kathryn S. (Moyer) Hengen.
Rev. Hengen was a 1958 Wilson High School graduate, he attended Lakeland College, was a Defiance College graduate, and a Winebrenner Seminary graduate.
He served as a pastor in Ohio and Pennsylvania for United Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his 3 sons: Mark Hengen, Brian Hengen and R. Scott Hengen. He has 2 brothers: Rev. W. Scott Hengen III and Robert Hengen, and 5 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday, March 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The Rev. Dale Davis to officiate.
