John Leon Raifsnider Sr.
April 20, 1944 – July 22, 2019
John Leon Raifsnider, Sr., 75, of West Lawn, passed away peacefully in his home that he shares with his daughter, Trish on Monday, July 22, 2019.
Born in Reading on April 20, 1944, he was a son of the late Phillip, Sr. and Emma (Samksy) Raifsnider. He was employed with Bortz Chocolate, the former Wild Wing Café at the Reading Airport and Penn Optical.
John enjoyed fishing, bowling and his dog, Bandit. He loved baseball and the Reading Fightin' Phil's and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Surviving are three sons, John Leon Raifsnider, Jr. of Reading, Ronald James Raifsnider of Reading and Christopher Michael Raifsnider and his wife Patricia of Reading; two daughters, Earline Elizabeth (Raifsnider) Weidenhammer and her husband, Terry of Reading and Trish Ann (Raifsnider) Candelaria of West Lawn; 11 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Also surviving is his brother, Bruce Raifsnider of Groveland, FL.
Survives are private and at the convenience of the family. Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, Downtown is entrusted with the arrangements.

John, Sr. is predeceased by his parents, Phillip and Emma (Samsky) Raifsnider; a grandson, William Sands, Jr; a brother, Phillip Raifsnider, Jr. and a sister, Dawn (Raifsnider) Sheidy.
