

John Adam Shrom, 96, formerly of Mohrsville and Margate, Fla., but recently of Reading, passed away in the Reading Hospital on Friday, November 24, 2017. He was the devoted husband of the Rose Shrom. He referred to her as his "Little Rosie" and she passed away in 2001.
John was a proud Army Aircorp veteran that served his country in World War II.
John and Rosie lived in Margate, Fla., since 1962. In 2016, following a car accident, John moved in with his daughter in Reading.
John was an electrician and started off working for 15 years with Met-Ed then with NASA for eight years. He last was employed with the state of Florida as head electrician over all the Burger King restaurants in the state.
John enjoyed traveling with Rosie in their RV. He had a great sense of humor and he loved to talk. John was a great father and had a winning smile.
Surviving is a daughter, Deborah D. (Shrom) Miccicke and her husband, Larry, or Reading; Deborah's half- brother, David Shrom; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred (Shrom) Romberger and Pearl (Shrom) Carl.
John is predeceased by a brother, Jesse, and five sisters: Katherine, Marion, Sarah, Anna and Dolly.
Services for John will be graveside on Friday, December 8, 2017, at 2 p.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19601. Family and friends are asked to meet in the entrance of the cemetery at 1:30 p.m. to form the funeral procession. Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, Reiffton, is entrusted with the arrangements.
