John served in the US Navy Reserve and was employed as a CAD Drafter at AT&T/Lucent/Agere. He was also a licensed master electrician; working at various companies including but not limited to: Acme Electric, Medlar Electric and Mcguinnes Electric.
Being born during the depression shaped John's formative years and resulted in a lifetime of a strong work ethic, a love of old movies and model trains. He was an avid reader, loved all genres, and was a wealth of knowledge in many areas. John will be remembered as a kind, humble and easy-going man who enjoyed target shooting, fishing and trips to Ocean City, NJ. He will be missed by all blessed enough to have known him.
Surviving is his wife, Beth (Holl) Wade; 4 sons Daniel Wade and his wife Lori, of Reading; Terence Wade, of Lower Alsace Township; Christopher Wade and his husband Greg Fleming, of Atlanta, GA; Dennis Wade, of Christiana, PA; step daughter Elaina Huyett, of Seffner, FL; 2 sisters Barbara Wade and Mary Alice Bortz. John also leaves behind 2 grandchildren Allison Wade, Matt Wade; and 3 step grandchildren Dustin Ochs, Justin Huyett and Shawna Ochs to cherish his memory.
Family & friends will briefly gather on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Auman's Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd, Reiffton. Memory sharing will commence in the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Graveside committal will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W Neversink Rd. Reiffton.
