Joseph Alan Hassler

Joe was born in Reading on August 6, 1964, a son of Sebastiana (Scherra) Combs and the late William Hassler.

Joe was a 1982 Muhlenberg High School graduate and was a certified Insurance Salesman. In 1988, Joe received certification at MTA Trucking school in Elizabethtown. He was a member of NRA and secretary of Noble Riders Club. He belonged to the AP Assoc. for 20 years, and was a member of The Masonic Lodge. Joe was an avid NY Giants and NY Yankees fan and he loved all of his dogs and the 3 Stooges. Joe was an employee of Penn Dot as a maintenance worker.

He is also survived by his son, Matthew Roberts (Raesha); son, Joshua Hassler; daughter, Elizabeth Hassler (Dylan); son, Dylan Hassler; and grandson, Vincent-Matthew Roberts. There are also 2 nieces, Melissa Wagner and Kelsey; and nephew, Hunter; brother-in-law, Richard Roberts (Cindy). Joe was predeceased by his sister, Christine J. Weaver.

Services will be Saturday December 31, 2016, at 12:30 p.m. in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading. A viewing will be Saturday 11-12:30 p.m.
