Joseph Jude Rotell

Born in Archbald, PA on December 24, 1924, Joe was the son of the late Joseph J., Sr. and Rose (Paone) Rotell. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Reading.

He was employed with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. He was hired on in 1955 as a Business Agent in Hazelton. In 1966 he became the manager in Reading where he served until 1972. He then returned to Reading as the Manager in 1982 and served until he retired in 1991.

Joe was a hard worker and was very active with politics. He enjoyed fishing, going on walks and spending time with family.

In addition to his wife, Shirley; Joe is survived by two children: David J. Rotell of York and Gretchen A. (Rotell) O’Neill and her husband, Jeff of Alden; three grandsons: Robert J., Michael J. and Joshua M. Rotell and a nephew, Joseph Paone of Archbald.

Joe is predeceased by his parents and a sister: Rella Paone.

Services for Joe are private and at the convenience of the family. Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
