June M. Lenhart, 92, of Laureldale entered into eternal rest on November 1, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 21, 1929 in Hamburg, PA to the late John Klopp Sr. and Lillian Lesher, weighing only two and a half pounds. June was a 1947 Reading High graduate with her senior quote stating, “Temperature-taker to be, lover of horses, and wishes to have a dozen children someday”. June later moved to New Jersey where she had three daughters with her first husband. She then relocated back to the Reading area where she fell in love with her soulmate, the late Stuart F. Lenhart, whom she married in 1966. Stuart became the stepfather to her three daughters and loved them like they were his own. June and Stuart went on to have two children together where they raised all of them on the 1200 block of N 10th street. She was employed as a bookkeeper and retail sales associate over the years.
June was known for her gregarious, loving, and selfless nature and for sneaking and eating sweets, especially chocolate bars. With June, family always came first. She was an active member of the Lutheran church and will be deeply missed by her community and loved ones.
June is survived by her five children, Cheryl Dennis wife of Jack, Cathy Stricker wife of Charles Sr., Carol Ulrich wife of Gary, Michael Lenhart husband of April, Lori Daubenspeck wife of Howie; grandchildren Lindsay, Alexa, and Kylie Lenhart, Alyssa, Emily, Madison, Haley, and Gabrielle Daubenspeck, Charles Stricker Jr., Michelle Dennis, Ish-shah Smorey, Reuben Dennis, Carissa Dennis, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
