Part two
And let’s not forget about the YMCA. No matter where we were, if that song came on, everyone knew what was about to happen. His shirt would get tucked and Keith would jump up, start dancing, and before long everyone around him was smiling. That dance wasn’t just something he did—it was who he was. He brought joy wherever he went and reminded us that life is meant to be lived, celebrated, and shared.

Today, our hearts are broken because the world feels different without Keith in it. There is an emptiness that can’t be replaced. But while our hearts are broken, we are also incredibly blessed. Blessed to have known and loved him. Blessed to have been loved by him. Blessed to have shared in the joy he brought into our lives. There will always be a seat missing at the poker table, one less voice talking playful trash the way only Keith could, and a silence where his laughter used to be. one less person getting everyone on their feet when YMCA starts playing.

Keith’s kindness, loyalty, humor, and love have left a mark on all of us that time will never erase.

Though we have to say goodbye for now, his spirit will live on in every story we tell, every laugh we share, every poker hand we play, and every time we hear YMCA. We’ll smile because we’ll remember him dancing, laughing, and reminding us not to take life too seriously.

Keith, thank you for every laugh, every joke, every card game, every dance, every act of kindness, and every moment you made us feel loved. Thank you for always having our backs. Thank you for showing us what it means to live with a generous heart and to fight with dignity.

The love we feel, the tears we cry, and the memories we share are proof of the incredible man he was.

We love you, Keith. We always will. Rest easy.

Part one
Keith was truly one of a kind a man whose presence could light up any room, whose laughter was contagious, and whose heart was bigger than most of us could ever hope to have.

Keith was loved by everyone because he loved everyone. He had a gift for making people laugh, whether it was with one of his jokes, his quick wit, or talking just enough trash to keep everyone on their toes. Making people smile wasn’t something Keith tried to do—it was simply who he was.

If there was one thing Keith could do better than anyone, it was make people laugh. He was always talking trash, but in that way that only he could—never to hurt anyone, always to get a laugh. His quick comebacks and playful jokes, could turn the worst day into one filled with smiles. You never stayed upset for long when Keith was around.

Behind all the jokes was a heart bigger than most people will ever know. Keith would do anything for anyone. If you needed him, he showed up. Keith was loyal in a way that’s hard to find, Keith was the person you could always count on to have your back,he was there. No questions asked. He would do anything for anyone, often putting others before himself without expecting a thing in return.  He wanted everyone around him to be happy.

Then came the hardest hand life could deal him—cancer. But even then, he showed us what true strength looked like. He faced every challenge gracefully with courage and an unwavering positive attitude. Instead of asking, “Why me?” He continued asking how everyone else was doing. Even while carrying his own burden, he found ways to encourage others, crack jokes, even got the nickname “Trouble” by all the nurses who cared for him and remind us to keep smiling. He never let cancer define him. His spirit was simply too strong for that. He taught us that courage isn’t about pretending everything is okay—it’s about facing every day with faith, love, and the determination to keep living.

It was my pleasure to get to know you  and share so many good times  You handled yourself with such class  while sick and fought like a champ!
