Kevin Maurice Quick, 57, of Reading, PA went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 10, 2025, at Spruce Manor Nursing & Rehab. Born on September 27, 1968, in Whiteville, North Carolina, Kevin was the beloved son of Willie Lee Quick and the late Penny Ann (Melvin) Quick.
Kevin was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1987. He was employed at Maier’s Bakery and later at Sweet Street Desserts, where he worked with machinery and also served as a mixer and stocker.
In his free time, Kevin enjoyed playing pool, playing video games on his PlayStation, following sports, and was an enthusiastic Facebook user. Above all, he deeply cherished the bond he shared with his best friend, Zach, a friendship that meant the world to him.
Kevin was quiet and humble, yet his presence carried a calm, positive energy. He was loving, kindhearted, and was content standing in his own space. Rest in eternal peace, dear Kevin. You will be deeply missed by all who were blessed enough to know you.
Kevin's spirit will be carried on by his father, Willie Lee Quick; his brother, Dennis J. Quick (Angela); his nieces and nephews, Rebecca A. Powell-Quick, Makea J. Quick, Ashlee S. Quick, Dennis AJ Quick (and his family), and Fitzgerald DM Quick; his best friend, Zach Smith; his uncle, John Harold Quick; and his aunts, Cora Bogans, Laura Waddell (Wilbert), and Darlene Wilson.
A viewing for Kevin will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601. Homegoing service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 11:00 am, with Bishop Willie Hutchinson officiating and Bishop Robert Brookins delivering the eulogy.
