Larry W. Sohn Jr., affectionately known as "LJ", age 39, of Reinholds, PA entered eternal rest on Friday, September 17, 2021, in Lancaster General Hospital. Born September 4, 1982 in Reading, PA he was a beloved son to Patti Louise (Shull) Schappell and the late Larry William Sohn Sr..
LJ was a graduate of Cocalico High School, class of 2001. He was the proud owner and operator of 'LJ Autoworks'. LJ worked at various places throughout the years including but not limited to; driving taxi in Reading and Lancaster and he was a counselor for Angels Among Us Outreach Ministry.
One of his favorite past times was listening and singing to country music. He also was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping and fishing. In his spare time, LJ loved watching WWE, The Dukes of Hazzard, superhero movies and playing videogames.
LJ loved God and praised Him joyfully to the end. He was a big advocate for ‘family’ and adhering to God’s ways.His humor and love for his family will be greatly missed by the lives he has touched.
LJ's spirit will be carried on by his mother Patti Louise (Shull) Schappell; step father Donald Schappell; 2 daughters Journey Sohn and Idaya Masscotte; sister Alishia Sensenig and her husband David Sensenig Jr. and his brother Matthew Schappell and his fiancé Andrew Montpetit. LJ also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins to cherish his memory.
In addition to his father Larry, LJ was greeted in heaven by his grandparents Roy Sohn Sr., Helen Sohn, Shirley Stickley, George Stickley, Roy D. Schappell, and Faye G. Schappell.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate LJ's life on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 9:45 AM to 10:00 AM at Auman's Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton, PA 19606. A celebration of life service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 10:00 AM, with Chaplain Cameron Prentice officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Attendees are encouraged to practice social distancing and face masks are required in the funeral home.
