Levera Skeete

Levera Skeete, 95, loving husband of the late Ottaline Skeete, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on February 10th, 2025. He passed away in his residence with his loving family at his bedside. He was born in St. Peter, Barbados, and was the son of the late Alonza and Selina Skeete. Levera was a carpenter and painter and worked at the Reading Hospital as a painter for many years prior to his retirement. He could take a piece of wood and make anything with it, which was his talent. His other interests included word searches, reading his Bible, spending time with his family, and playing rummy. In his younger days in Barbados, he was a cricket player, and he really enjoyed playing cricket.

He leaves behind his loving children: Valrita Murphy, Jelko Skeete, and Haniff Skeete, husband of Michelle Skeete. His loving grandchildren were Jarred, Jocelyn, Isaiah, Ian, and Naomi Skeete. He was also the great-grandfather to Jasiah Skeete. Levera was the brother of the late Alma Clark, Carlotta Skeete, Thelma Ferguson, and Arnold Skeete.

Funeral services will be private and held at the discretion of the family. Levera will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Ottaline, at Berks County Memorial Gardens in Fleetwood, PA.
