

Louise Copeland, 88, of Reading, went home to her Lord and Savior on September 4, 2017, in Mifflin Center. She was born in Manchester Ga., on September 5, 1928, a daughter of the late Alonzo and Hattie G. Terry.
Louise was a faithful and devoted member of St John's Missionary Baptist Church and a devoted choir member.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Batts, of New Castle, Del.; her son, Randolph Copeland, of Reading; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Her 4 sisters: Jeanette Copeland, of Reading; Dot Gamble, of Reading; Golden Harnett, of Ga.; and May Jones, of Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and family friends.
Louise was predeceased by her children: Eddie Copeland, James Copeland Jr., Willie Copeland, Deborah Copeland Jackson, Ann Copeland and Juanita Copeland.
A Celebration of Louise's Life will be Friday, September 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. in St John's Missionary Baptist Church, 436 S. 7th St., Reading, PA 19602. Burial to follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be Friday, September 8, 2017, 10-11 a.m. in the church.
