Louise D. Siegel

Louise D. (Deeds) Siegel, 92 of Reading passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Berks Heim. She was born on February 22, 1919 in Reading, PA to the late Albert and Susan (Rader) Deeds. Louise married the late Joseph F. Siegel on April 1, 1939 and was married to him for 55 years until his death in October 1994.

Mrs. Siegel retired in 1984 from Western Electric after 28 years as a technician and was a 28 year member of IBEW Local 1898. She was also a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers. She also was a member of St. James Church, West Reading where she was a member of the Choir Mother's Guild.

Mrs. Siegel was the last of fourteen children.

She is survived by two sons, Robert A. Siegel and his wife, Elizabeth, Royersford, PA and Donald C. Siegel and his wife, Mary Towner, McMurray, PA and a daughter Barbara A. Messner and her husband, Gene, West Lawn, PA. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Louise will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at St. James Church, West Reading with the Rev. Schaun Myers officiating. Family and friends may call from 9 to 10 AM at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
