

Major was a man of strong character, sharp intellect, and deep faith. He had a lifelong love for music and a distinct passion for fashion—especially when it came to sneakers. Major cherished his time talking with family, always making sure to stay connected with those he cared about.
He is survived by his three brothers: Curtis Lockhart, Marion Lockhart, and Samuel Carter, along with Samuel’s wife, Justine; and four sisters: Renee Green, Debra Goodman, Shareatte Ford, and Staci Green. He also leaves behind a large group of nieces and nephews, and his best friend of 40 years, Ben Candelaria.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Holy Trinity Church of God, located at 130 W. Buttonwood Street, Reading, PA 19601. The family will receive guests from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m., services will commence at 10:30 a.m, with Pastor William T. Lockhart Jr. officiating.
Flowers are welcome and may be sent to Holy Trinity Church of God in honor of Major’s life. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew him.
