Margaret Anna "Peggy" Jarvis, 81, of Reading, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 in ManorCare Laureldale. Born in Reading on January 27, 1935, she was a daughter of the late George F. and Eleanor (Hartley) S. Jarvis.
Peggy was a 1952 graduate of Mt. Penn High School. After graduation, she went to work at American Casualty (CNA Insurance), retiring in 1995.
Peggy enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading and the computer. She also liked being around Sammy the cat.
Peggy is survived by her close friend, Rosalie F. Landis; two nieces and a nephew.
She is predeceased by two brothers, Robert and James Jarvis; and close friend, Ruth M. Leinbach.
Services for Peggy will be at noon on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
