Margarita Davila, 99, of Reading, PA., passed away Thursday November 27, 2025 in The Reading Hospital. She was born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, on October 26, 1926, a daughter of the late, Matilde and Rafaela (Rivera) Oquendo.
Ms. Margarita was a faithful member of the Spanish Pentecostal Church and was a Christian for many years. She enjoyed flowers, plants, traveling and cooking. Margarita always helped anyone less fortunate and would be first to participate in any church functions. Her most gratifying times, were those spent with her family.
Surviving are 5 children; Carmen M. Soria, Juan Davila, Martha Davila, Irma Mendoza and Olga Colon, her sister, Mary Oquendo, 14 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 24 great great grandchildren. Margarita was predeceased by her 3 siblings; Carmen Oquendo, Aurora Oquendo and Julia Oquendo Camacho.
Viewings and services will be Friday December 5, 2025, 7-9pm and Saturday December 6, 2025, 9-10am in Theo C Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading PA 19601 with entombment to follow in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
