Marjorie Ann Fisher

Born in Philadelphia on September 20, 1944, she was the eldest daughter of the late William Watson and Reba (Reid) Jones. She was a 1962 John Bartram High School graduate and later graduated from McCann Business School. After graduation, she was employed by the Reading School District as a secretarial clerk for over 30 years before she retired.

On January 3, 1966, Margie married Douglass Fisher in West Reading, PA, and together they raised three sons.

Margie thoroughly enjoyed traveling. She was also known to enjoy the casinos, soap operas, shopping, music, and entertaining family and friends.

In addition to her loving husband Douglass of 49 years, left behind to cherish her memory are three sons, Kenneth M. Fisher of Philadelphia, Maurice D. Fisher and his wife Carla of Raleigh, NC, and Sean S. Fisher of Raleigh, NC; a grandson, Darius Rain of Pittsburgh; a brother, William Jones and his wife Alice of Philadelphia; two sisters, Katherine (Jones) Field and Denise (Jones) Bowen of Philadelphia; and sister-in-law Dawn Fisher of Reading, PA.

Also surviving are seven nephews - Joseph Field, Troy Field, Harold Jones, Abdul Goodman, David Field, Rodney Morris, and Aaron Fisher; two nieces - Rashita Harris and Scarlett Matthews; and her close friends - Marquita Harris and Linda Tull.

A Home Going Memorial Service for Margie will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA.

Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 10:00am to 11:00am. Service will begin promptly at 11:00am.
