Marlena Jones-Donawa

Marlena Jones-Donawa, 66, of Reading, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Noble Donawa. Marlena was born in Philadelphia, on July 26, 1956 a daughter of the late William and Virginia (Moragne) Jones.

Marlena was educated in the Philadelphia School District and graduated from William Penn High School.

She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia 76ers fan.

In addition to her husband, Marlena leaves to cherish her memory; her son Mark Jones; her daughters Atiya Jones, Lénita Jones, Rashanda Jones, Bria Jones, Chaya Jones; 2 brothers William "Bulb" Jones, Keith Jones; 10 grandchildren, Tahir, Tylia, Shamir, Marquis, Imani, Nylah, Aidan, Legend, Kapri and Malcom; a great grandson, Ashir and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close family friends. Marlena also leaves her two childhood friends, Ramona (Chris) Porterfield and Marilyn (Dee) Toomer.

In addition to her parents, Marlena was predeceased by her sister Patricia and her brother Gregory Jones.

A Memorial Gathering for Marlena will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Theo C. Auman, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 noon.
