Melrose was born in Spring Township on August 2, 1935, a daughter of the late Earl C. and Ida M. (Miller) Berger. Surviving is her son, Dennis J. and his wife Joan Kohl and her sister, Martha Treptow.
Melrose was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah J. Kohl in 2003 and her 3 sisters, Verna Wiser, Fern Bush and Betty Meleon.
