Born on September 26, 1941, in West Hazleton, PA, She was a daughter of the late Arthur F. Schweitzer and Dorothy May (Buehler) Schweitzer.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was welcomed into heaven by her beloved husband of 33 years, William "Waxy" T. Gordon; her daughter, Michelle M. Kochel; her grandson, Nicholas C. Eliopulos; her brothers, Ralph, William, George and Artie Schweitzer; her sister, Sherry Koch; and her nephews, Danny, Kevin, and Chris.
Nancy attended Reading High School and devoted her life to caring for her home and family. She had a vibrant personality and found joy in the simple things that brought people together. Nancy loved cooking for those she loved, singing, writing poetry, and nights out dancing with her beloved Bill.
Following Bill's retirement, the two embraced adventure, traveling the country in their RV and splitting their time between Florida and Delaware, where they formed many cherished, lifelong friendships.
Nancy had a passion for collecting chef figurines and, at one time, maintained an impressive doll collection. She adored her beloved Pekingese, Pugsy and Tugs, and her Bichon, Benji, who were truly part of the family.
Her home was always the gathering place for family and friends. Nancy loved hosting holiday cookouts and, in her younger years, unforgettable karaoke parties where everyone sang their hearts out to the music of Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley, and other favorites. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and laughter was never in short supply when Nancy was around.
She took great pride in keeping an immaculate home and was rarely seen without her signature lipstick, eyeliner, and jewelry, even if she was spending the day relaxing in her PJ's. That sense of pride and grace never left her, remaining part of who she was even throughout her illness.
Nancy will be remembered for her beautiful eyes, radiant smile, generous heart, quick wit, and feisty, strong-willed spirit. She lived life with determination, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Nancy's spirit will be carried on by her daughter, Stacy L. Moyer and her husband, Robert J. Moyer II, of Hamburg; her son, Robert W. Aldinger and his wife, Debbie, of Kentucky; her stepdaughter, Amber Gordon; her brothers, Ronald Schweitzer and his wife, Judy, and Kenneth Schweitzer and his wife, Susan; her grandchildren, Robert, Roby, Adam, Chrissy and Jessie; her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Alex, Leighton, Zamira, Arabella, Eden, Chloe, and Avalon; and her great-great-grandson, Anakin.
She is also survived by Joanne Eckert and her husband, Jerry, who showed Nancy unwavering love, care, and compassion for many years and whom she considered family. She also leaves behind several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
