Parris, known to most as Lamont, was born on May 15, 1955, in Newark, NJ to the late James Kimble and Annamae (Jones) Kimble. Lamont was a 1973 graduate of Reading High School. Shortly after graduating, he joined the Army, served 2 years, and left with an honorable discharge. He worked for E.J. Predeceased by his parents and his sister Barbara Jones, Lamont leaves behind his daughter, Tasha Richardson and her companion Symon Miller, Stepson Shauntai Richardson, and his wife Tonika Richardson, four grandchildren: Javel Mcleod, Jenesia, Jala, Jadyn Richardson, and former companion and close friend, Joan Richardson. He also leaves behind his favorite cousin, Tommie Broadnax, the Jones, and the Haynes families. Lastly, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Parris, everyone will miss you.
Lamont was an honest and loving man who loved his daughter with all his heart and soul. He was also a man of little words, but when he had a thing or two to say, you wanted to listen. He had many stories to tell. The community, family, and friends loved and respected him. Lamont loved Funk and R&B music, and he liked to jam and dance. He was a DIE-HARD EAGLES and Penn State fan! He bled green until the very end. Lamont was also a phenomenal artist. He could draw anything.
A viewing for Parris will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Theo C Auman, 247 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19601, followed by A Celebration of Life Service at 10:30 AM.
